Daily Advice

I was reading an article about Oprah in the lobby of my doctor's office the other day. (Yes, I realize that those of you who know me are in no way surprised that I would be reading about Oprah!) Any way, I fell in love with this bit of advice. I love it so much, that I cut it out of vinyl letters and put it on the mirror in our bathroom.

Why not start off my day with a bit of wisdom from Oprah? :)

Easy DIY Project!

I was just watching a movie, and needed a little craft project to keep me busy. I came up with a really quick and easy idea. I just bought a set of bangle bracelets at H&M. Quite a few came in the pack, and I was wondering what to do with all of them.

And then it came to me...wire-wrapped bangles for a punch of color. I took some craft wire that I had laying around the house, and simply wrapped each one with varying lengths for an added detail. Enjoy!

For the Bride and Groom

This past weekend, my husband and I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of some dear friends. We were partnered with them through a community pastor at our church, and journeyed with them as they got engaged and planned their wedding. Their special day was filled with a few jitters, tears, ear-to-ear grins, and of course lots of love. We wish them the best as they embark on their new life together as one.

Congrats to Hannah & Alex!

Changing the world. One greeting card at a time.

How can a person change the world with one greeting at a time you ask? Great question.

Two local women may have found the answer. Check out the following article from the Grand Rapids Press. A great idea created by two wonderful women. What a blessing!

Oh baby that's cute!

Wow! It's been a long time since I posted a project. I made this card for a friend's baby shower last month. Scott and Emily are going to be great parents, and we can't wait to meet sweet baby Hannah.

I found some great baby paper by My Mind's Eye. I always love their patterns! I used this paper for a memory album I made for the mom-to-be. I'll post pictures of that project soon. :)

Wedding Card

I made this card for a little bridal shower gathering for a co-worker. I used stamps, rhinestones, and glitter. This card was my first attempt using a stamp with Martha Stewart's glue pad and glitter. It adds the perfect extra something. Thanks Jan!

Baby Dedication Frame

I made this frame for a baby dedication for sweet little Jack, who may be one of the cutest little boys in the world.

I used the bags, tags and more cartridge for the circle. And rub on stitching on the side piece. The blessing reads:

Please God...grant this little child your love as each new day appears and
grant the parents guidance and wisdom throughout the years.
