Oh baby that's cute!

Wow! It's been a long time since I posted a project. I made this card for a friend's baby shower last month. Scott and Emily are going to be great parents, and we can't wait to meet sweet baby Hannah.

I found some great baby paper by My Mind's Eye. I always love their patterns! I used this paper for a memory album I made for the mom-to-be. I'll post pictures of that project soon. :)

Wedding Card

I made this card for a little bridal shower gathering for a co-worker. I used stamps, rhinestones, and glitter. This card was my first attempt using a stamp with Martha Stewart's glue pad and glitter. It adds the perfect extra something. Thanks Jan!

Weddings and birthdays...oh my!

The following cards were also designed for the card sets that will be given away this weekend. The wedding cards match the colors of the wedding, in hopes that the winners will give them to the bride and groom.

I used doodlecharms cart, as well as the sweetheart cart. Rhinestones, ribbon and stamps were added for embellishments. I've really enjoyed playing around with shadow cuts. I think they really highlight the final product.

Card Series: Welcome Baby

The cards shown below will also be added to the thank you cards, as part of the gift sets given at the shower this weekend. Each set will have a thank you, birthday, baby, and wedding card.

These are the baby cards that I came up. I used my doodlecharm cartridge. (I don't know what I would do without it!) I also added raffia and rhinestones for some fun embellishments. The stamp, from Stampin' Up, reads "welcome baby".

Assorted Card Sets

I made the following cards for 3 different sets of 4 cards, that are going to be prizes at a bridal shower. Each set has a birthday, thank you, baby, and wedding card.

Challenge #32: Going Away Album

This project was done for my college roommate. Although she's not "technically" my family, she might as well be. She's my "sistah from anotha mistah".

Tomorrow is the going away party for my college roommate who is moving out of state. I volunteered to make her a "going away" album. Guests have been encouraged to bring their favorite picture of themselves with Melissa, and they'll also be invited to write a message of good luck to her for the book. There are over 60 people coming, so I had to make a lot of different spaces for writing, and pictures which I don't know the size of yet. That has proven to be a little tricky. I hope that I have enough space.

Even though she's getting this tomorrow, I'm too excited to wait to put pictures up. I hope that she loves it!

You can click on any or all of the pictures for larger images. Feel free to leave a comment if you have time. :)

4th Birthday Princess Party

I made these invitations for my niece's 4th birthday party. She loves princesses, so naturally she wants it to be a princess party. I used the Celebration cart to cut out the fours, as well as the rounded squares. I found the princess stamps @ Michael's, which were perfect.

I also used a heart stamp for the background, as well as ribbon and rhinestones to add a little extra.

Just Buggin': Challenge #28

Make something green for St. Patrick's Day!

So my card is a congrats card, but since I mailed it out this week I figured that I would make it in St. Patrick's day colors. The person I'm mailing it to will probably get it on Wednesday. So it's perfect timing. :)

I used the Don Juan cartridge for the arrow, as well as the thumbs up.

Happy Pregnancy!

A 'happy pregnancy' card for a friend that just announced she is pregnant. Great excuse to make a card! :) I actually didn't use the Cricut on this project at all, just some Martha Stewart paper, ribbon, rhinestones, and a great $1 stamp from Michaels. :)

Ice cream & babies...

I had an unexpected free night last night. So of course I did any time I have unexpected free time...CRAFT! The baby shower card is for a friend, but the "just because" card was just a whim. It came together really nicely.

'Just Because' Card
I used Martha Stewart paper, as well as a Martha Stewart trim punch. I used my Stretch Your Imagination cartridge for the ice cream cone. I was feeling a little springy last night. Must be all the sunshine!

Baby Shower Card
I used the Doodlecharm cartridge for the bottle, as well as the tags, bags and more cartridge for the circles.

13th Birthday

My niece is going to be 13 this month, so I figured that she deserved an extra special card. It's not every day that you become a teenager. :)

I used the Doodlecharm cartridge, as well as the Don Juan cartridge. The cupcake, as well as the 13 are mounted with foam squares to add some depth. The cupcake is decorated with a variety of different buttons and rhinestones, as well as a glitter paper flame atop the candle. I used a cupcake stamp, as well as a 'wish big' stamp from Stampin' Up. A lavender ribbon, as well as lavender rhinestones were added to pull the purple throughout. I was really happy with how it turned out.
